Research and development work at TRDDC is focused in different groups, each specializing in a key area of work. Projects of an interdisciplinary nature are also carried out. With expertise in process engineering, software engineering tools and technologies, advanced techniques, and in systems engineering methodologies, TRDDC provides solutions within TCS and for major clients.

Research work at TRDDC is carried out by the three labs -Software Engineering Innovation Lab, Process Engineering Lab, and Systems Research Lab.

The research work is academically rigorous; researchers from TRDDC regularly present their work at international symposia and publish their papers in reputed journals.

Every year TRDDC conducts workshops, seminars and conferences, at which new initiatives are showcased and the state-of-the-art is discussed.
