Student Projects

Who is eligible to do a student project at TRDDC?

If you are a third year (sixth semester) computer science and engineering student (graduate level) from any engineering college located in Pune, and if you think you are self-driven and wish to do your project in an R&D environment, form a group of 2 or 3, and apply

Every applicant (group member) is required to have an average of 60% or more marks in the first five semesters of engineering.

Your requests must be routed through the respective department heads of your college.

What is the process of selection?

Students would be required to clear a written test and those short-listed would be summoned for an interview, after which selection of the candidates would be made.

Why should you be interested in doing a project at TRDDC?

All the projects on offer are cutting-edge, challenging, and have an R&D flavour. Apart from the challenge of working in a one of its kind research centre under the TCS umbrella, there are some bonus benefits.

  • The written test is on the lines of the one given to prospective TCS job applicants. If you pass the test, even if you are not selected for a project, you are automatically exempt from taking the test again when TCS conducts campus recruitment.

  • There is a generous stipend for selected students during the course of their project.

  • There is a prestigious TRDDC award for the best student project with prize money.

  • Recommendation letters from TRDDC scientists shall be given to deserving students who apply for further studies in India or abroad.

  • You could use the TRDDC library, which has a wide range of the latest books, journals and e-journals.
